Hey y’all! LeaRose here this lovely morning! It’s hard to believe it’s been a month since I’ve sat here at this familiar desktop and typed up a sweet little post for YOU dear reader to enjoy! Life has certainly been busy but I’m SO excited to be back with REFLECTIONS FROM A FRACTURED GARDEN’S first official post!!! I hope y’all are loving the new look as much as I am and looking forward to new opportunities with our revamped space!
Anyways, now that I’ve gotten my exclamations out of the way, let’s talk about what I’m really here for. As a part of our blog remodel, we authors thought it’d be fun to make the September posts personal About-Me’s to help y’all get to know us just a tad bit better! And so, darlings, today holds the delightful hour in which you shall learn the deepest, darkest secrets of my soul…well not quite but I’m sure you get the gist. So, without further ado, let’s get into it!
I know y’all are just dying know what I look like but that is one privilege I shall not indulge you in ;). My deepest apologies. As should be obvious with the amount of yapping I do on here, I’m a normal teenage girl and I like normal teenage girl things; I will not lie. This includes but is not limited to: music, clothes, shopping, and being dramatic. But alas, I am so much more, a treasure you’re about to discover.
I am a daughter of the King, and my worth is found in Christ alone! One of my favorite things is to talk about Christ and to engage in theological discussions with just about anyone. I love to journal my thoughts to God, whether through poetry or prose and I find that writing is a perfect way to express myself in nearly any given situation.
When I’m not lost in a book or shedding tears over a new poem, you can find me outdoors, walking my horse-sized dogs, or exploring new hiking paths. Archery, indoor rock climbing, target practice, and horse-back riding also find their way into my list of enjoyments.
Sports-wise, I have done competitive swimming for the last nine years and I would include horse-back riding as a sport although I do not compete. Gymnastics also found its way into my repertoire but that unfortunately ended years ago.
Theater has also been my passion since I was a small child, and the last few years have seen me in many musical performances and improv shows. I sing non-stop, and I’m surprised I haven’t been kicked out of my house for my dramatic entrances and spontaneous one-man shows XD.
Hmm, what else might you beautiful people be absolutely longing to know? I am extroverted by nature; I love to meet new people and make new friends wherever I go. I love to ask questions, both straightforward and rhetorical, and laughing daily brings me joy.
Traveling around the world is my dream and I enjoy road trips immensely.
I am a proud owner of two fluffy Great Pyrenees, one fat cat and one skinny cat, and a red beta fish named Jacob.
I write with big words, and I speak eloquently when looking for a good laugh.
Books are my best friend next to Jesus.
I have a relatively big family and a somewhat-relatively big yard out in the country.
Cowboy boots are my favorite shoe, and I adore jewelry.
I’ve front-flipped off a horse without injury, but I’ve tripped over my dog and tore two ligaments…
I love to tell stories and give speeches, and most of all I love my LORD and Savior Jesus Christ!!! Without Him, I would not be the person I am today! To God be all glory and praise.
