Hey y’all, Ken here!
I'm sure some of y'all have been desperate to get to learn about me… So, you get to read me talk about myself! Just what everyone wanted.
Okay, so probably not… and I'm just being annoying with this post… Well… too bad. I'm here to do my Intro post.
The first thing you should know: Kenzi Ember is a pen name. It was originally K.E.N, but everyone mistook me for a middle aged guy so I recently changed it to Kenzi Ember to make it easier to tell I'm a girl. However I still want everyone to call me Ken, because I've become used to it and enjoy it. They're both pen names. Sorry. You don't get to know who I actually am… (sort of joking)
I am really weird. I’m not into super girly stuff, but at the same time I am not a tomboy. I dislike sports, and I’m really bad at them. And I can say that because I know how to play basketball and soccer and know general rules of baseball and tennis. Volleyball is alright. Football is not my thing. However, at the same time, I don’t do a lot of makeup, occasionally mascara, even less lipstick. I have simpler jewelry, and while I enjoy getting dressed up, I don’t love it for very long.
I love dancing, specifically line and circle dances. I can and will pull a punch, and I am probably one of the most sarcastic people you will ever meet… watch out.
I am fully devoted to Christ, and he is the center of everything I do. I am always willing to talk to you about my faith if there is anything you want to know.
My music tastes are extremely weird. I have some pop, some pirate music, some older songs, some epic music, really just about everything. But I’m also really picky and have only ever heard one rap song I like. I only like it because it’s very uplifting and a friend shared it with me when I was struggling a bit, and it helped me.
I have finished one fantasy childrens book. And am working on a middle-grade mystery and a young adult ish adventure book. I write a lot of genres in case you couldn’t tell. I also read a lot of different genres. Some of my favorites are: Green Ember, LoTR, Dune, I Robot, Boxcar children, Narnia, Jane Austen, Brandon Sanderson, and The Rangers Apprentice. I am currently Alpha reading for 3 people.
Some other hobbies are playing the violin, sewing, knitting, diamond dotz, painting, cooking, baking, and singing.
My favorite colors are blue and white. My dream job is to be a teacher in the elementary field, but recently I have discovered I enjoy accounting and am looking to pursue a minor in that field.
This is really controversial, and I promise I have a good reason: I don’t like dogs. I had a really bad experience with them when I was 6, I was never bitten, but it scarred me and I have never fully recovered from that. I have gotten better about being around them, but only if the owner is right there.
I have four siblings, and I’m the second oldest.
I am an introvert. I can talk to people, but I only those who I know well and am close to will ever really know me.
I am very organized, and hate being late to anything.
I have been called a Chat mom, blackmailer, stalker, and mind reader. Weird mix of things I know, the Chat mom, because I take care of everyone in my writers group. The stalker because I made a spreadsheet of the information people on our writers group had shared so that it was readily available. The Balckmailer because I have so much information on people that I could easily blackmail any of them, though I've only ever done that to one person. Not a bad thing I just blackmailed them into letting me put them on my list. And the mindreader thing I protest.
Yeah, that's basically all you need to know about me… probably more than you wanted to. Oh well. You'll never forget me now…
